Many thanks to the 25 folks who attended the Funding Quest One-Day Workshop earlier this week on Feb. 5, 2013. It was a great success, with an engaged – and engaging – audience.
And thanks to the folks at HUB Seattle. What a wonderful space to hold a workshop!
One key theme of the day: several people told me how helpful it was to get the complete picture of angel funding in a single package.
Another key theme: recognition of the emotional roller coaster ride that we call entrepreneurship, and how important it is to get help along the way.
I strive to help startup CEOs learn to think (and feel) like investors. It was fun to wear my “investor hat” to dramatize my points. (The slide below refers to one of the 20 factors in my Fundability Scorecard assessment tool.)
Finally, a few comments from attendees:
“Excellent overview of angel funding and the angel investor world.”
“The Fundability Scorecard helped a lot.”
“Comprehensive approach to knowing an angel audience.”
And here’s an excerpt from a LinkedIn recommendation from Mark Walters, General Counsel to Go.
“I attended Bryan Brewer’s seminar, The Step-by-Step Guide to Getting Angel Investors to Finance Your Business, yesterday and it was fantastic. Bryan explained the Angel investor process from both the investor and company seeking funding points of view. Tons of practical and useful information that demystified the Angel investor world and can help startups successfully raise an Angel round. I highly recommend this seminar to my clients and to any group that works for startups. Startup incubators all across the country should invite Bryan Brewer to present this seminar to their companies.”
Thanks again to all who have supported me in launching this endeavor. I look forward to offering it again soon!
Bryan
